Analysis Panel

The Analysis Panel is a dedicated workspace for reviewing variants using structured, category-based analyses. It provides a flexible layout system where you can arrange multiple category cards side by side, enabling comprehensive variant interpretation in a single view.

Overview

Unlike the free-form chat or the table view, the Analysis Panel organizes your analysis into predefined categories, each containing specialized category cards that target specific aspects of variant interpretation.

Key concepts:

  • Categories: Groupings of related annotation columns (e.g., Clinical Significance, Pharmacogenomics, Protein Function). See Categories.
  • Category Cards: Individual analysis cards for each category (e.g., PGx Card, Protein Interactions, Pathway Analysis).
  • Layout Management: Arrange, resize, and save panel layouts to match your workflow.

Accessing the Analysis Panel

  1. Navigate to a sample from the Samples list.
  2. Select the Analysis tab or view.
  3. Click Start Review to open the category modal. Create annotation categories manually or use AI assistance.
  4. Start reviewing variants in the analysis panel by clicking them. This opens category cards with annotations for the variant.

Layout Management

The Analysis Panel supports flexible card layouts:

Arranging Cards

  • Drag and drop cards to reposition them within the workspace.
  • Resize cards by dragging their edges or corners.
  • Maximize a card to full width for detailed examination.
  • Minimize cards you do not need at the moment.

Saving Layouts

  • Save your card arrangement as a preset layout in the panel settings (top right corner of the panel).
  • You can save multiple layouts and switch between them as needed.
  • As long as the sample supports the same categories, you can reuse the layout for other samples.

Analysis Panel and Other Features

The Analysis Panel integrates with other AIVA features:

  • Table View: Variants identified in category cards can be located in the Table View for detailed examination.
  • Variant Flagging: Flag variants directly from category card results.
  • ACMG Classification: Apply ACMG criteria to variants surfaced by category cards.
  • Comments: Add threaded comments to document your analysis findings.
